JACKSON -- Marvin Loos, 83, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, in Phoenix.
He was born Aug. 28, 1915, at Jackson, son of Fred Loos and Lillie Day McFerron. He and Lucille Proffer were married Dec. 9, 1939. She died March 11, 1996.
Loos had lived in Arizona 53 years. He had been a carpet salesman.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Bonnie) Kinsey and Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Weaver of Phoenix; a sister, Mrs. Alama Proffer of Jackson; three stepsisters, Mrs. Frances Simpson of near St. Louis, Mrs. Georgia Meyer of Jackson, Mrs. Agnes Borgfield of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Mrs. Ron (Debbie) Kennelly, Mrs. James (Loreen) Cummings, Wayne Kinsey, and Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Transon, all of Arizona.
Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren, Christine and Kimberly Kennelly, Stephanie Watson, Joseph and Michael Kinsey, Dadis, Allen, Mark, James and Duane Cummings, all of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Weaver II.
Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Loos home. Burial will be in Phoenix Memorial Park.
