OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marvin James Isom, 68, of Olive Branch died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Roxana, Ill., son of John Nelson and Dorothy Trey Isom. He and Louise Bridges were married July 7, 1951.

Isom worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis 38 years. He was a member of Machinist Union, American Legion in Troy, and National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim and Dan Isom of Troy; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Leon Sams of Olive Branch; two sisters, Rita Browning and Norma Winn of Olive Branch; two brothers, Gene Isom of Gainesville, Fla., Jack Isom of Huntsville, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Drysdale officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
