Marvin Eugene "Pete" Gockel, 69, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Marvin J. and Marie Ervin Gockel. He and Laverne Springer were married Jan. 12, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.
A 1943 graduate of Central High School, Gockel was a deliveryman with Finney Drug Store 45 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rickey Gockel; two daughters, Rhonda Neels and Sondra Fitzpatrick, all of Cape Girardeau, and three grandsons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Dissen offficiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
