Martinea Boles

MARBLE HILL -- Martinea I. Boles, 70, of Marble Hill died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Luxora, Ark.

She was born April 18, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of Earl and Lydia Abernathy Hamlyn. She married Marvin O. Schaefer April 27, 1946. He died July 10, 1968. She and Roy Boles were married March 18, 1972. He died Aug. 1, 1994.

The Boles operated Boles Food Market. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Schaefer of Santa Paula, Calif., Ronald Schaefer of Peoria, Ariz.; four daughters, Linda Harris of Cape Girardeau, Caroline Floyd and Vickie Colvin of Marble Hill, Debra Collier of Luxora; two brothers, Sylvane Hamlyn of Marble Hill, Ferris Hamlyn of High Ridge; a sister, Glenda McCoy of Delta; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Randy Poole will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. Louis.
