FROHNA -- Martin Herman Dreyer, 88, of Frohna, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 31, 1903, at Point Rest, son of Joachim and Anna Schlimpert Dreyer.
A retired farmer, he was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church at Frohna and the Lutheran Laymen's League.
On Nov. 11, 1924, he married the former Natalie E. Gerler.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rudy and Edgar Dreyer of Frohna; two daughters, Arlene Hoehn, Perryville, Marilyn Groa, Murphysboro, Ill.; four brothers, Richard Dreyer, Wisner, Neb., Edmar Dreyer, Perryville, Gilbert Dreyer, Frohna, Erwin Dreyer, Cape Girardeau, a sister, Myrtle Petzoldt, Altenburg, 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
A daughter preceded him in death.
Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, and Saturday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Luther Herman will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
