Martin Dubs, 91, of Cape Girardeau began his new life with Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014.
He was born June 3, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, to Wenier and Martha Hauri Dubs. He and Virginia Meyer were married Jan. 15, 1946. She preceded him in death Dec. 21, 1998.
Martin served his country honorably in the United States Army. He served three years in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II.
He retired at the age of 55 from the United States Postal Service. He and Virginia enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Texas.
Survivors include his children, Werner Martin Dubs of Virginia, David Dubs of Kelso, Missouri, Martha Barnhart, Brenda Wachter and Kathy Morris of Cape Girardeau; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son; his parents; and a loving companion, Faye Quamme.
Family and friends may gather from noon until time of service Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
