Martha Jo Ziegler, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at her home.

She was born March 6, 1940, in Kelso, Mo., daughter of Beno and Margaret Welter Westrich. She and Donald S. Ziegler were married Oct. 24, 1959, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 27, 2008.

Mrs. Ziegler had formerly worked at Florsheim Shoe and Brenda's Place. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include two sons, David W. Ziegler of Cape Girardeau, Kevin A. (Sheila) Ziegler of Gordonville; a daughter, Debbie S. (Tim) Beussink of Gordonville; two brothers, Marvin (Lillian) Westrich of New Hamburg, Mo., A.J. (Juanita) Westrich of Jackson; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard (Edna Lou) Ziegler of Cedar Hill, Texas; a sister-in-law, Wanda Holland of Pinellas Park, Fla.; four grandchildren, Joshua Beussink, Nathan Beussink, Brianna Ziegler and Devin Ziegler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Elmer and Audrey Westrich.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7, immediately followed by Knights of Columbus rosary.

Funeral Mass will be at at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Revs. Tom Kiefer and John Harth officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Building on Faith Fund or Southeast Hospice.
