MARTHA WOODS

BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Martha Arnold Woods, 64, of Buncombe died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at the Union County Hospital.

She was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Mill Creek, Ill., daughter of Clyde and Sarah Wright Arnold. She and Lawrence Woods were married Feb. 1, 1953, in Jonesboro, Ill. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; one daughter, Irene Marshall of Buncombe; one son, Larry Woods of Murphysboro, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andy Gillispie officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro, Ill., and from noon until the funeral hour Monday at the church. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
