JACKSON, Mo. -- Martha E. White, 84, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. White was born Jan. 13, 1917, at Lixville, Mo., daughter of George and Matilda Yamnitz Emde. She and Wilson T. White were married Nov. 21, 1940. He passed away Dec. 24, 1994.
She worked many years as a topstitcher and retired from the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Friedheim, Mo.
Loving survivors include a brother, Norbert Emde of Sedgewickville, Mo.; a sister, Nora Valleroy of Perryville, Mo.; three nieces, Viola Preusser and Judy Taylor of St. Louis, Donna Conway of Cape Girardeau; four nephews, Richard Ruesler and Larry Emde of Sedgewickville, Lowell Lueders of St. Charles, Mo., and Gary Lueders of Perryville.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate.
McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
