MARTHA SPRINGS

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Martha B. Springs, 81, of Sikeston died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Glendale, Ill., daughter of David and Carrie Hesselrode Allard. She and C.D. "Cotton" Springs were married Dec. 26, 1936, in Greenville, Mo.

Springs was a volunteer at Missouri Delta Medical Center many years, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Charles David Springs of Sikeston; a daughter, Janie Potashnick of Sikeston; a sister, Mary Cantrell of Sikeston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Davis and the Rev. Sandra Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
