JACKSON -- Martha Sievers, 79, of Jackson died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 24, 1918, at Jackson, daughter of Henry and Minnie Voges Hoffmeister. She and Raymond Sievers were married March 17, 1961, in Cape Girardeau.
Sievers was a tailor at the former Lowenbaum Dress Shop, and also worked at Thorngate in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Sharon Godwin of Des Peres; a stepson, Michael Sievers of Chesterfield; a sister, Miriam Burge of St. Louis; a brother, Ben Hoffmeister of Oak Ridge; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
