MORLEY, Mo. -- Martha Ann Rodgers, 79, of Morley died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Feb. 23, 1924, at Wardell, Mo., daughter of Louie Jesse and Florence Elizabeth Lewis Bollinger. She and Murile Rodgers were married April 12, 1942. He preceded her in death June 8, 1954.
Mrs. Rodgers had been a secretary at Scott County Central Elementary School in Morley. She was a member of Morley Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Becky Rodgers of Morley; a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Lloyd Hoffmeister of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Jim Bollinger of Sikeston, Mo., Ben Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, Buster Bollinger of Oran, Mo.; four sisters, Berniece Trost of Cape Girardeau, Rita Friga of Chaffee, Mo., Shirley Wilson of Greenville, Mo., Frances Eftink of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren and a grandson-in-law, Julie Rodgers of Savannah, Ga., and Kelley and Dustin Snider of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today, and Saturday from noon until time of service at Morley Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Williams, Charles Freed, Ray Gene Emerson, Ben Bollinger, Buster Bollinger and Junior E. Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morley Baptist Church.
