Martha L. Ricky, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Feb. 13, 1931, at Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Leon and Pauline Britt Sander. Ricky was an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for more than 25 years. She retired from Mary Kay in 1994. Martha L. Ricky, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Feb. 13, 1931, at Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Leon and Pauline Britt Sander.

Ricky was an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for more than 25 years. She retired from Mary Kay in 1994. She also worked as an elementary and preschool teacher at various times and at various schools, including Cape Christian School.

She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She was also a member of Welcome Wagon and Business and Professional Women.

Survivors include her mother, Pauline Sander of Marble Hill; two daughters, Johanna Cook of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Elizabeth Ricky of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Elizabeth Nann Borden of Marble Hill; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the City Cemetery of Marble Hill, with the Rev. John Sedgwick officiating.
