MARTHA PATTBERG

Martha Pattberg, 79, of Granite City, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 1996, at the Colonial Care Nursing Center.

She was born July 27, 1916, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Caroline Foerenbach Haupt.

She worked as a secretary for the postal office in St. Louis. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Granite City.

On June 25, 1950, she married C.H. Pattberg. He died Dec. 22, 1993.

She is survived by two sisters, Marie Colden of Avaca, Mich., and Helen Haupt of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating.
