MARTHA HUMBLE

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Funeral for Martha Jean Humble of Canton, Mich., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Donny Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the chapel from 3-6 p.m. today.

Humble, 83, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at her home.

She was born Dec. 4, 1917, at Chaffee, daughter of Otis and Ezella Prosser Green. She and Albert E. Humble were married April 4, 1942, at Marble Hill, Mo.

Humble grew up in Chaffee and her family later moved to Detroit, Mich. She and her husband lived in Memphis, Tenn., four years, and then lived in Detroit and Canton. She was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church in Canton.

Survivors include her husband, and a brother, Wilson Boyd of Marble Hill.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
