Martha G. Ford, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born April 24, 1924, at Alton, Ill., daughter of Harry W. and Clydo Wilson.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Galilee Baptist Church and its Woman's Missionary Union organization. She played the piano at the church for 60 years.
She married Garnet Ford on Dec. 17, 1943, at Cape Girardeau. He was involved in tractor pulls and owned "Grandpa's Toy." She traveled with her husband on the tractor pull circuit. He died on Nov. 17, 1978.
Survivors include four sons, Ronald Ford of Gorham, Ill., Richard Ford of Murray, Ky., Donald Ford of Grand Tower, Ill., and David Ford of Cape Girardeau; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral home at Jonesboro.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel. The Revs. John Cripps and John Prather will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
