Martha Elaine Conary, 82, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 8, 1937, in Bar Harbor, Maine, daughter of Maurice E. and Josephine M. Gooch Hanscom. She and Henry Conary were married Sept. 6, 1958. He passed away Feb. 3, 2006.
Martha spent her early years in the Ellsworth, Maine, area. After she and Henry married, they moved to Houston, and in 1973, they relocated to Jackson. She attended Cape County Cowboy Church and enjoyed traveling, camping and crocheting.
Loving survivors include children, Maurice (Diana) Conary of St. Louis, Cindy (Gary) Suhre of Jackson and Linda (Steve) Suhre of St. Louis; grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Conary, Gregory Conary, Christopher Suhre, Allison (Alan) Pike, Kaitlyn Suhre, Brian Huckstep, Dakota (Faith) Suhre, Jennifer (Mike) Allen and Jamie (Gabe) Runyon; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Betty Hanscom of Jackson.
Martha was preceded by her husband, parents and two brothers, Donald and Carrol Hanscom.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Cromer officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer's Association or Grace Fellowship Church in Cape Girardeau
