KELSO -- Funeral mass for Martha Agnes Payne of Kelso will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Msgr. John Westhues will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today, and beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. The Ladies Auxiliary to Post 6407 will have a service at 5 p.m. Sunday, followed by parish prayers at 6:30, and KC service at 7.
Payne, 62, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1931, in Marked Tree, Ark., daughter of William A. and Lizzie Mae Rollman Tinsley. She and Oral "O.V." Sylvester Payne Sr. were married May 12, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He died Dec. 27, 1989.
Payne was a member of St. Augustine Church, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 6407 of Scott City, and Eagles Aerie 4178 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Glen Payne of Knob Noster, Ed Payne of Chaffee, Oral Payne Jr. of Kelso; three daughters, Judy Dannenmueller of Kelso, Mary Burns and Patricia Maloney of Scott City; three brothers, George and William Jr. Tinsley of Hephzibah, Ga., Jack Tinsley of Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, Mary Sulfridge of Memphis, Tenn., Norma Wilson of Hayden, Ala.; 20 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, a brother and sister.
