MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Funeral service for Marquice Davon Giden of Mound City will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jesus Is Lord Free Will Baptist Church in Cairo, Ill. Tressie Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds, Ill.
Friends may call at Massie Funeral Home in Cairo from 6 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday at the church after 10 a.m.
The infant, seven months, died Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 13, 2001, son of Kenneth Maurice Giden Sr. and Annie Brown.
Survivors include his parents of Mound City; four brothers, Kenneth Giden Jr. and Jimmy White Jr. of the home, Fred and Demetrious Sharkey of Chicago; three sisters, Kenyetta Giden of the home, Shanda and Christen Sharkey of Chicago.
Also surviving are grandparents, Cathelean Reed of Mounds, Imergene and Harold Swayze of Pulaski, Ill., Albert and Alene Reed of Villa Ridge, Ill.; great-grandparents, Neveda Swayze of Pulaski, Ruby Sing of Chicago, and Timothy Brown of West Memphis, Ark.
