Funeral service for Marlys Jean Brindisi of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Valentine, Neb. The Rev. Carroll Plisek will preside, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Valentine.

Brindisi, 34, died Monday, Nov. 21, 1994, at St. Louis University Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1960, in Valentine, daughter of Stan and Jean Irish. She was a 1978 graduate of Grand Island High School in Grand Island, Neb., and attended Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, Neb. She had worked at B&R IGA in Lincoln.

She and Richard Brindisi were married Feb. 14, 1981, in Lincoln.

The family moved to Cape Girardeau in April from Thornton, Colo.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, David and Brian Brindisi of the home; mother and stepfather, Jean and Lyle McMindes, father and stepmother, Stan and Helen Irish, all of Grand Island; a sister, Sean Wasserburger of Lusk, Wyo.; two half brothers, Larry and Clay Irish of Grand Island, and a grandmother, Mildred Bishop of Valentine.

She was preceded in death by a sister and grandparents.
