MARKALE LONG

MARSTON -- Markale Deshawn Long, 9, of Norfolk, Va., died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughter in Norfolk, following an asthma attack.

He was born Dec. 29, 1989, in Portsmouth, Va., son of Jackie Jones Long and Reginald Long.

He was a fourth grade student in Norfolk.

Survivors include his mother of Norfolk; his father of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Regis Terrell Long and Caleb Isaiah Long, both of Corpus Christi; his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Betty Long Sr. of Marston; his maternal grandmother, Margie Word of Howardville; and his maternal great-grandmother, Pauline Jones of Howardville.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Hope Baptist Church in Marston.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Donald Long officiating. Burial will be in the Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
