Mark R. Licare, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 22, 1956, in St. Louis to Vincent and Loraine Bickel Licare. Mark worked in the parts department at Western Diesel, and was a mechanic at Midwest Diesel. Mark R. Licare, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 22, 1956, in St. Louis to Vincent and Loraine Bickel Licare.

Mark worked in the parts department at Western Diesel, and was a mechanic at Midwest Diesel. He also worked in the river transportation industry, beginning his career at May's Towing in Clinton, Ky., and then at Cape Girardeau Fleeting.

Survivors include his father, Vincent Licare of Jackson; stepmother, Elizabeth Licare of Jackson; two brothers, Vincent K. Licare of St. Louis and Scott Licare of Jackson; two stepbrothers, Robert J. Teater of Cape Girardeau and Brent Teater of Columbia, Mo.; a stepsister, Julie Teater of Biloxi, Miss.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
