BENTON, Mo. -- Mark V. Emerine, 77, of Benton died Monday, July 26, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born on July 7, 1927, at Joy, Ky., son of Joseph Olney and Opal Ruth Parker Emerine. He and Lois Ford were married April 1, 1962, at Charleston, Mo.
Emerine worked as a mechanic for Sikeston Motor Co., Ford Groves and Gold Bond, and was a farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Emerine of Benton; two daughters, Julie Heeb of Sikeston, Mo., Nancy Tolbert of Advance, Mo.; a brother, Ralph Emerine of Murray, Ky.; a sister, Mary McCuiston of Murray; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
