DONGOLA, Ill. -- Mark Dill Taylor, 45, Dongola Route 1, died Friday, March 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., from injuries received in a fall at his home. He was born April 15, 1949, at Holden Hospital in Carbondale, son of Dr. Jack B. and Elizabeth Dill Taylor. He and Sally Bass were married March 24, 1973. DONGOLA, Ill. -- Mark Dill Taylor, 45, Dongola Route 1, died Friday, March 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., from injuries received in a fall at his home.

He was born April 15, 1949, at Holden Hospital in Carbondale, son of Dr. Jack B. and Elizabeth Dill Taylor. He and Sally Bass were married March 24, 1973. He later married Trish Cook Johnson June 26, 1989, in Cape Girardeau.

Taylor was a 1966 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School, attended Louisiana State University and Southern Illinois University.

He was a medic with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Bronze Star, and Combat Medic Badge.

Taylor worked briefly in pharmacy and ER at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He then was a patient care technician in dialysis, working in California from 1974-82, and had worked at Bio Medical Applications of Carbondale Dialysis Unit since 1982.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Elizabeth Hartline of Anna; his father of Carterville; a sister, Susan Martin of New Orleans, La., and a brother, John Taylor of Anna.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

There is no visitation or service.

Crain Funeral Home of Dongola was in charge of arrangements.
