Marjorie Ann Sneed, 86, of Scott City died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Fornfelt, Mo., to the late Charles and Minnie Altenthal Will. She and Thomas Jefferson Sneed were married Feb. 4, 1944, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death April 24, 1976.
Marjorie was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and also served as city collector in Scott City for many years.
She was a member of the Broadway Methodist Church in Scott City; VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City and a member of the Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie McCormick of Southaven, Miss.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Charles Will.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Jim Norris officiating.
Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
