Marjorie Seabaugh

Marjorie Ruth Seabaugh, 89, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her home in Lakeland, Fla.

She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Herrin, Ill., daughter of William and Mable Baxter Zeigler.

Marjorie worked for the Social Security Administration 30 years in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis. She was a previous member of American Legion Auxiliary in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lail McCain of Lakeland; a sister, Sarah Chesters of El Paso, Texas; a brother, William Zeigler of Detroit; a daughter-in-law, Sue Lail of Florissant, Mo.; three granddaughters, Lisa Lail Heimberger of Florissant, Teri Lail Ropka of Kansas City, Mo., and Kimberly Hinze Barnard of Blytheville, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mable Zeigler; a sister, Shirley Becham; a son, Jack R. Lail; and a grandson, Joseph M. Hutchings.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Francis officiating. Inurnment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
