Marjorie Elizabeth Kight Taylor Henderson, 92, was born Feb. 19, 1918, near Advance, Mo., seventh of eight children of John L. "Kid" and Elizabeth A. Hitt Kight. She departed this life Oct. 20, 2010, in West Plains, Mo. She and H. Jared Taylor were married in 1945 in Cape Girardeau. ...

Marjorie Elizabeth Kight Taylor Henderson, 92, was born Feb. 19, 1918, near Advance, Mo., seventh of eight children of John L. "Kid" and Elizabeth A. Hitt Kight.

She departed this life Oct. 20, 2010, in West Plains, Mo.

She and H. Jared Taylor were married in 1945 in Cape Girardeau. They spent their married years in the ministry of the Methodist Church, mostly in the St. Louis area. They retired to West Plains in 1983. Jared preceded her in death in 1985. Marjorie married Joe D. Henderson of West Plains in 2002.

A graveside service was held Tuesday at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

A celebration of life service was held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in West Plains.

Carter Funeral Home of West Plains was in charge of arrangements.
