Marjorie L. Eaker, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Jan. 6, 1927, at Brazeau, Mo., to Lee and Bernice Cadle Moneyhun. She and Jesse Eaker were married June 11, 1967, at Union, Mo.
Marjorie was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church. She had worked at Southwestern Bell, retiring after 35 years as a chief telephone operator.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Eaker of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Bruns of Dallas; a son, Danny (Martha) Eaker of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Dick Moneyhun of Jackson and John (Rose) Moneyhun of Whitewater; two grandchildren, Paul (Kim) Hawkins of Houston and Lance (Toni) Craft of Jackson; and four great-grandchildren, Korina Hawkins, Triston Hawkins, Skylar Craft and Kael Craft.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Moneyhun.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roy Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Lynwood Baptist Church, 2935 Lynwood Hills Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
