KELSO, Mo. -- Marjorie Sophia "Grandma Marge" Bollinger, 95, of Kelso died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Kelso, to John and Matilda Westendorf Ludwig. She and Lyman Joseph Bollinger were married June 15, 1940, in Kelso. He preceded her in death April 24, 1968...

KELSO, Mo. -- Marjorie Sophia "Grandma Marge" Bollinger, 95, of Kelso died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Kelso, to John and Matilda Westendorf Ludwig. She and Lyman Joseph Bollinger were married June 15, 1940, in Kelso. He preceded her in death April 24, 1968.

Marjorie was a cook at St. Joseph and St. Augustine schools, and was cook Grandma Marge at Care-A-Lot 24 years, retiring at age 90. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, St. Ann's Sodality, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 Ladies Auxiliary, and Adorers of the Most Precious Blood of Christ Associates.

Survivors include seven children, Karen (Justin) Elfrink, Sharon (Gerard) Schreckenberg, Charlotte Hogan, Steve (Susan) Bollinger, Margaret (Glen) Lawrence, Renee (Rick) Aufdenberg and Keith (Jean) Bollinger; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Matt Hogan; two brothers, Maurice and Claude Ludwig; and a sister, Maryn Bollinger.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. Augustine Church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to St. Augustine Church or Birthright.
