MARJORIE ALSUP

SIKESTON -- Marjorie L. Alsup, 76, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

She was born Nov. 13, 1921, at Morley, daughter of Edward T. and Zella Payton Lee. She and Roy W. Alsup were married Aug. 29, 1940, in Sikeston. He died Jan. 13, 1994.

Alsup was a charter member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Roy Alsup of Sikeston; three daughters, Shirley Newton of Sikeston, Elaine Hodges of Eugene, Ore., Doris Denbow of Columbia; a brother, Glen Lee of Barboursville, W.Va.; two sisters, Norma Baker of Sikeston, Gladys DeLuca of Willimantic, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Gary Denbow and Lance Smith officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
