BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Funeral for James Marion Williamson of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Revs. Doyle Corlew and Chester Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery.
Williamson, 89, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Three Rivers Health Care South Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born April 21, 1912, at Essex, Mo., son of Willie Jacob and Mary Anna Fortner Williamson. He and Irene Corbin were married Nov. 6, 1937. He died Sept. 27, 1987.
Williamson moved to Bloomfield 40 years ago from Essex. He was a member of South Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Glen Williamson of Bloomfield; a daughter, Freda Williamson of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Bill Williamson of Sikeston; two sisters, Rachel Smith of Dexter, Mo., Jene DeJournett of Essex; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two sisters, and three brothers.
