MARION H. KEMP

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Marion H. Kemp, 76, of 411 Albert, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 1990 at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Oct. 22, 1914 in Cape County, son of George and Effie Sanders Kemp.

On Sept. 30, 1944, he married Jewell Jones at Blytheville, Ark. She survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ronald Kemp, Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, Billy Joe Acup Sr., Cahokia, Ill., Milford Lee Acup, Jackson; one daughter, Olivia Burlison, Perkins; five grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and three great step grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.

A lifetime resident of Cape Girardeau, he worked 25 years for Nichols Transfer Company and 15 years for Thoni Oil Company.

Funeral service was held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial followed in Iona Cemetery near Oriole.
