CANALOU -- Marion Fowler, 81, of Canalou died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1917, in Waynesboro, Tenn., son of Joseph H. and Missy Brewer Fowler.
He and Lurlyne Goad were married. She died Jan. 17, 1986. He then married Dorotha Hewitt Naney Oct. 29, 1986, in Florida.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
He had worked for General Foods Corp. in Battle Creek, Mich., and had been a member of VFW Post 4595 in Auburndale, Fla.
Survivors include his wife; a half brother, Joe Fowler of Potosi; and a sister, Marie Stansbury of Tell City, Ind.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, and from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral home in Waynesboro, with the Rev. Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Shield Cemetery in Waynesboro.
