Marilynne Anne Toll, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at the Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on March 13, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Okla., daughter of Neal and Jewel Stumpf Baker.
Marilynne attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. and Southeast Missouri State University where she obtained a Bachelor of science degree in home economics and a Masters degree in guidance and counseling.
She worked as a youth director at First Christian Church in Cape Girardeau and for Disability Determinations for 24 years. She was a foster parent for several children and volunteered at the Safe House for Women and Saint Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Toll and wife, Lisa, of Cape Girardeau and Lee Toll and wife, Gayle, of Daisy, Mo.; six daughters, Susan Crites and husband, Greg, of Jackson, Christy Yount and husband, Grady, of Cape Girardeau, Jackie Twidwell and husband, Greg, of Piedmont, Mo., Patti Raouf and husband, Ali, of Blue Springs, Mo., Barbara Cagle and husband, Greg, of Jackson, and Sandi Essner and husband, Chris, of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John E. Toll, Jr.
Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Dr. Derek Staples officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View, Mo.
