Marilyn L. Turner, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1933, in Shawneetown, Mo., daughter of Elmer and Elsie Winter Saupe. She and Cecil Turner were married April 13, 1952, in Shawneetown.
Turner was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Junior Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and volunteered at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Douglas (Tina) Turner of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Deborah Taylor of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Glenn (Doris) Saupe of Shawneetown; two sisters, Doris (Mel) Schmidt of Cape Girardeau, Charlotte (Bob) Hecht of Altenburg, Mo.; four grandchildren, Sara Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Alexandra Turner, Zachery Turner, all of Cape Girardeau; two stepgrandchildren, Megan Baker of Cape Girardeau and John Baker of Marble Hill, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Mariah Taylor and Ashlyn Taylor of Cape Girardeau; a great-stepgrandchild, Travell Steele of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Saxony Lutheran High School or Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund.
