Marilyn Ruth Seyer, 71, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born Feb. 14, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Woodrow Wilson and Dorothy Helen Baker Dudley. She and Ronnie Gene Seyer were married June 3, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. Marilyn Ruth Seyer, 71, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Feb. 14, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Woodrow Wilson and Dorothy Helen Baker Dudley. She and Ronnie Gene Seyer were married June 3, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. He passed away Nov. 24, 1997.

She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1965.

She had worked for Ralph Edwards Sports Wear in Cape Girardeau, and retired from the Jackson School District after 25 years as a cook.

She was very active in Cape Girardeau County 4-H and was a avid Cardinals fan.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Survivors include her three sons, Ronnie "Butch" (Lisa) Seyer of Chaffee, Timothy S. "Rooster" (Kimberly) Seyer of St. Mary, Missouri, and Ryan A. (fiancee Patricia) Seyer of Puxico, Missouri; one sister, Patricia (John) Rice of Jackson; one brother, Scott D. (Jennifer) Dudley of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren, Austin Abernathy, Gavin L. Seyer, Shayna A. (fiance Alden) Seyer, Elleigh M. Seyer, Haylei A. Seyer and Mikey Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Luke J. Seyer.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cape Girardeau County 4-H Foundation.
