Marietta Logan, 87, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, July 8, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 5, 1904, in Catlettsburg, Ky., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Breeding. She married J. Hugh Logan Sept. 15, 1935, in Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, Don Breeding of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Thelva Thompson of Otway, Ohio, and Dorothy Breeding of Ashland, Ky.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Church Women United, and Order of Eastern Star. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, the Civic Center and the American Cancer Society.

She was also active at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was a volunteer for the hospital's surgical waiting room, information desk, snack bar and haircare center. She was a member of the hospital's auxiliary and worked with the annual flea market every year it was held. She was also a volunteer for the Meal on Wheels Program.

She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1939, from Little Rock, Ark.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Miles White officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
