ANNA, Ill. -- Marietta L. Davie, 86, of Groton, N.Y., formerly of Union County, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Cortland Care Center in Cortland, N.Y. She was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Waterman, Ill., daughter of Theodore and Dorothy Goss Logeland. She and Samuel A. Davie were married Feb. 20, 1937, in Jonesboro, Ill. He died Nov. 4, 1984...

ANNA, Ill. -- Marietta L. Davie, 86, of Groton, N.Y., formerly of Union County, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Cortland Care Center in Cortland, N.Y.

She was born Aug. 6, 1915, in Waterman, Ill., daughter of Theodore and Dorothy Goss Logeland. She and Samuel A. Davie were married Feb. 20, 1937, in Jonesboro, Ill. He died Nov. 4, 1984.

Davie was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Cortland.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Karwowski of Cortland; a son, Dr. Lynn Davie of Mississauga, Canada; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Prather officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
