PERRYVILLE -- Marie Toleta Schmidt, 90, of Perryville, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1991, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1901, at Perryville, daughter of Frank and Mary Blechle Brown. She married Martin J. Schmidt May 4, 1926. He died Jan. 5, 1965...

PERRYVILLE -- Marie Toleta Schmidt, 90, of Perryville, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1991, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 21, 1901, at Perryville, daughter of Frank and Mary Blechle Brown. She married Martin J. Schmidt May 4, 1926. He died Jan. 5, 1965.

Schmidt was a member of St. Vincent's Church and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Perry County Sheriff Franklin "Dutch" Schmidt and Alfred Schmidt; two daughters, Rose Marie Schmidt and Dorothy Traut; two brothers, Edgar and William Brown, all of Perryville; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. The parish wake is at 7.
