PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marie E. Schindler, 80, of Perryville died Monday, Jan., 29, 2001, at PerryOaks Manor. She was born April 19, 1920, at Perryville, daughter of Joseph P. and Clara Balsman Elder. She and Edgar C. Schindler were married June 19, 1946. He died April 13, 1959...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marie E. Schindler, 80, of Perryville died Monday, Jan., 29, 2001, at PerryOaks Manor.

She was born April 19, 1920, at Perryville, daughter of Joseph P. and Clara Balsman Elder. She and Edgar C. Schindler were married June 19, 1946. He died April 13, 1959.

Schindler had been a bookkeeper at Rozier Mercantile Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
