Marie Margaret Hopson, 83, formerly of 1104 Independence, died Thursday, March 4, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 19, 1909, at Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Theodore and Louise Job Frueh. On April 14, 1960, she married Byrd W. Hopson, who preceded her in death in November 1980.
She worked for 46 years at the International Shoe Company and Florshiem Shoe Company factory in Cape Girardeau and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral parish. She also was a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by several cousins.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where a parish prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathederal in Cape Girardeau.
The Rev. Michael Zoellner will officiate, and burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
