TAMMS, Ill. -- Marie Evelyn Koehler, 90, of Tamms died Friday, May 14, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 31, 1919, in Jackson, to Richard and Clara Jackson Bradshaw. She and Walter Koehler were married May 31, 1989. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2006.
Marie was a member of First Baptist Church in Thebes, Ill. She was a cook and waitress many years. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Polly (Mike) Edwards and Jeff (Molly) Gillan; four great-grandchildren, Rachael and Lydia Edwards and Jennifer and Robert Gillan; four sisters, Ruby Davis, Mildred (Clarence) Pulcher, Stella Schmid and Altafay Jarvis; two brothers, Marvin Bradshaw and Autie (Pat) Bradshaw; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter and son-in-law, Viola and Robert Gillan; and two brothers, Harold and Sam.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Mejean officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
