MORLEY, Mo. -- Marie King, 88, of Morley died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of Luther and Lucy E. Matthews Hicks. She and Homer King Jr. were married March 13, 1955, in Hernando, Miss.

King was a 1937 graduate of Sikeston High School. She was a pharmacy technician and clerk at Heisserer's Drug Store.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Elizabeth Church of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Davis officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
