MOUNDS, Ill. -- Marie K. Goins, 99, of Mounds, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. MOUNDS, Ill. -- Marie K. Goins, 99, of Mounds, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

She was born Dec. 31, 1893, in Olmsted, daughter of Sam and Stella Harman Chittick. She married James F. Goins, who died in 1941.

Goins was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mounds.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen Gross of Wickliffe, Ky., Mary Johnson of Mounds, Betty Crippen of Ocala, Fla.; two sons, John Goins of Mounds, Phillip Goins of Anna; a brother, Earl Chittick of Anna; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Mounds. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.
