OLD APPLETON -- Marie Katherine Abbott, 72, of Old Appleton, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 16, 1923, in McGowan, Ky., daughter of Andrew J. and Janie Francis White Simpson. She and Leemon Boyd Abbott were married March 3, 1947, in Piggott, Ark...

OLD APPLETON -- Marie Katherine Abbott, 72, of Old Appleton, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 16, 1923, in McGowan, Ky., daughter of Andrew J. and Janie Francis White Simpson. She and Leemon Boyd Abbott were married March 3, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Morris Simpson of Old Appleton and Billy Simpson of Missouri.

Funeral service will be private, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
