Marie Hartman, age 86, of Jackson, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at the Jackson Manor. She was born November 2, 1912, daughter to Monroe & Anna Reeker Gartung. She and Hadley Hartman were married January 2, 1982 in Gordonville, Mo. He survives.
Hartman was a life long member of Zion United Methodist Church west of Gordonville and was a member of United Methodist Women. She was formerly employed at Lowenbaum Dress Factory in Cape Girardeau as a seamstress for over 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Hadley Hartman of Jackson; brother, Clem Gartung of Gordonville; a sister, Verna Lee Nitsch of Jackson; step-daughter, Judy McClanahan of Jackson; three nieces, Cindy Raganyi of Jackson; Lynette Moore of Jackson; Rhonda Norman of Jackson; one step-grandson, one step-granddaughter; one great niece; one great nephew. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. today, July 22, 1999 at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel with Rev. Tom Gross officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, west of Gordonville.
