Marie Frances Geringer, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 11, 1913, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Adolph and Clara Simpher Roloff. She and Rupert Geringer were married Aug. 8, 1932, at Cape Girardeau. He died June 21, 1990...

Marie Frances Geringer, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 11, 1913, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Adolph and Clara Simpher Roloff. She and Rupert Geringer were married Aug. 8, 1932, at Cape Girardeau. He died June 21, 1990.

Geringer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, Hill and Dale Garden Club, St. Ann Sodality, Church Women United, and an active member of Birth Rite.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald Geringer of Junction City, Kan., Kenneth Geringer of Defiance, and Richard Geringer of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Judith Green of Hurst, Texas, and Joan Dohogne of Jackson; a sister, Louise Heisserer of Oran; two brothers, James Roloff of Detroit, Mich., and Robert Lee Roloff of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and parish prayers will be said Friday at 7 o'clock at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Cathedral, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
