MCCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral service for Marie Burchyett of McClure will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The Rev. F.M. Speakman will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Burchyett, 80, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1991, at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
She was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Delta, daughter of Thomas and Lydia Dollman Phillips. She married James Audrey Burchyett Oct. 12, 1929, at Mound City. He died Dec. 24, 1984.
Burchyett was cafeteria manager at McClure Elementary School, and after retiring was a cook at McClure Head Start. She was active in East Cape-McClure Senior Citizens.
Survivors include three sons, Clifford Burchyett of Nashville, Tenn., Donald Burchyett of Grand Tower, Jerry Burchyett of Chesterfield; two daughters, Leslie Wagoner of Collinsville, Grace Fitzpatrick of Sikeston; a brother, Floyd Phillips of Peoria; a sister, Blanche Jones of Villa Grove; 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
