Marie Borchelt, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Egypt Mills, to Rudy and Erna Schwettman Brinkman. She and Eldor "Willie" Borchelt were married Oct. 2, 1943, at Egypt Mills. He passed away Nov. 4, 1997.
Marie graduated from College High School. She was the former financial secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the church and its envelope committee.
Survivors include a daughter, Jayne E. Jones of Jackson; a son, John T. (Lynne) Borchelt of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Aaron D. Borchelt and Michelle L. Borchelt; and a sister, Dorothy Lowes of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at Trinity Church in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
