MARIAN KNOTT

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marian L. Knott, 74, of St. Joseph died Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

She was born Sept. 9, 1924, at Urbana, daughter of John B. and Ella Cochran Wood. She and Hiram "Junior" Knott were married Dec. 26, 1939, in Rockville, Ind. He died Nov. 17, 1997.

Knott retired as a nurse from Carle Hospital in Urbana. Formerly of Olive Branch, she was a member of Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce, Olive Branch Home Extension Club, and the Church of Christ in St. Joseph.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Knott of St. Joseph, Jim Knott of Mascoutah; two brothers, Allen Wood of Lincoln, Loren Wood of Cook, Minn.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freese Funeral Home in St. Joseph. The Revs. Ken Fetters and Verlee Eaker will officiate. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery in St. Joseph.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
